Melissa Monroe

Originally from the Panhandle of Florida, Melissa moved to New York in 2010. Melissa's insatiable curiosity, outgoing personality, and desire to learn helped her achieve success in developing and coaching teams in the retail industry spanning several luxury brands in countless markets in NYC Metro. Her leadership roles ran the gamut of hiring, onboarding, increasing profitability, and developing both small teams and teams in flagship-sized stores. This ultimately led her to find her passion for connecting with people through the conduit of sales.

Twelve years later, her extroverted nature left her curious about how to translate these skills across other industries and began to take an interest in NYC real estate. Melissa took the leap to get licensed in real estate working in a shared services role assisting top agents/teams.

Now, as the Director of Operations for The Joan Kagan Team, Melissa is part of a real estate family with a clear mission to to provide our clients with professional and personalized service, to simplify and to navigate complex real estate transactions with honesty and integrity.

Outside of her real estate world, Melissa enjoys being a part of a tight-knit dance and musical theater community, spending time with her friends and family, and soaking up the sun whenever possible.
