Melissa Macfadyen is a highly accomplished real estate Broker Associate at Compass Brentwood in Los Angeles, CA. Representing the Westside, she began her career in 1988 as an agent with Merrill Lynch real estate.  After a few years she followed her dream to co-own and operate a well-known, real estate franchise with roles both as manager and Broker of Record where she also had the opportunity to mentor others in her field.  With an unwavering commitment to ethics and a deep passion for real estate, Melissa has established herself as a trusted and respected figure in the local real estate market.  Her extensive knowledge and experience in homes, investment properties, and new developments sets her apart from the rest. 

She attributes her genuine love for the business to growing up in a real estate family.  Both her father and grandfather held real estate broker licenses and sold real estate and insurance at The Macfadyen Company in her hometown of  Malibu, CA. It was a family pastime to drive around and look at real estate.  She is now proud to call Compass her favorite career home with its super cool technology and national presence.

Her hobbies include table tennis, tango dancing, wine tasting and listening to music. She enjoys walking her furry companions through her Venice neighborhood and is actively involved in local community politics, ready to volunteer when called upon. Biking along the beach and attending art and music festivals with friends gives her a chance to recharge and balance her vibrant and adventurous personality.
