As a homeowner herself, she has served as a board member of Orange County Association of Realtors® Local Government Relations South County, an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxillary, and founder of Toys for Troops, an annual fundraiser to benefit the children of deployed Marines from Camp Pendleton over the holiday season. She is also a nationally certified Relocation Professional. Melissa is married to her husband Carsten, who is a 3 combat tour Marine Corps Veteran and now a firefighter for the City of Long Beach. They have 2 daughters, Chloe and Sienna.
