About Melissa
After more than 14 years as a trusted voice on country radio, I now help buyers and sellers navigate one of life's biggest decisions with confidence, communication, and a commitment to putting people first.
Real estate has always been part of my story. My father, James Hering, was a respected real estate broker and appraiser who taught me the importance of integrity, market expertise, and putting people first. My grandfather, Bob Kasberg, was a longtime real estate developer and community leader in Temple, serving as President of Kasberg Development for more than 30 years and helping shape the area's residential and commercial landscape. Growing up surrounded by both real estate and homebuilding gave me a deep appreciation for quality craftsmanship, thoughtful development, and the lasting impact a home has on a family.
Before launching my real estate career, I spent more than 14 years as an award-winning country radio personality in Austin, College Station, and Pensacola. My favorite part of the job wasn't being on the air—it was building genuine relationships and earning the trust of listeners every single day. Along the way, I was honored with multiple CMA and ACM awards, including CMA Personality of the Year (2022) and ACM Personality of the Year (2025).
Today, I bring that same passion for connecting with people into every real estate experience. Whether you're buying your first home, searching for your forever home, or preparing to sell, my goal is simple: make the process smooth, enjoyable, and built on trust from start to finish.
I'm proud to be part of Vista Real Estate Group under Compass, where a commitment to serving Central Texas and giving back to the community aligns perfectly with my own values.
My husband, Ben Williams, a retired AH-64 Apache pilot, and I are proud to call Salado home. It's an honor to serve the community that has meant so much to my family for generations, and I'd love the opportunity to help you find more than a house—I want to help you find a place to truly call home.
