Joshua Kaufman a native of Miami, Florida grew up in the construction and real estate industry, a family interest for over ninety years. Joshua gained practical hands on experience starting in the field and growing into project management. Joshua retains an interest in his family’s development and construction company and cultivates industry relations through his activities with the BASF.
Joshua is primarily focused on commercial real estate specializing in land, industrial, office, and multifamily. He has been able to leverage his experience and relationships to add value and is sometimes called in to assist in raising capital for his clients.
Prior to joining Compass, Joshua previously worked with Avison Young, Imperial Realty, and Kendar Realty.
Besides his real estate career, Joshua is an avid bowler. His passion for the bowling industry led him to founding a bowling management company which operates a bowling center just outside of Tampa, Florida. Joshua envisions levering both his real estate and bowling knowledge to eventually develop his own brand of bowling centers. This drive has pushed him to enter into the 2013 Miami Herald Business Plan Challenge, of which he was awarded the People’s Pick, one of the top awards.
Joshua attended Florida International University (FIU), where he obtained a dual degree of Bachelors of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance as well as a minor in Construction Management.
During his time at FIU, Joshua was a co-founder and President to the Real Estate Student Association and helped establish a student chapter of the National Association of Home Builders. Joshua was also a Director for the FIU College of Business Leadership Council.
