About Mike

Mike takes a practical, thoughtful approach to helping clients navigate real estate decisions. As Principal of The Harold Allen Team at Compass, the focus is on understanding each client’s goals, offering clear guidance, and keeping the process straightforward from start to finish. The goal is simple: help clients make informed decisions and feel confident throughout the process.

With a strong grasp of the local market, he works closely with clients to evaluate options, think through strategy, and move forward with clarity. From pricing and positioning a property to negotiating terms and working through the details, the emphasis is on steady communication, practical advice, and keeping things on track. His approach is measured and solutions-focused, helping clients navigate both opportunities and challenges along the way.

He has been active leader in the industry over the years, including serving on the boards of the Northwest Multiple Listing Service and the Tacoma-Pierce County Association of Realtors (TPCAR), as well as serving as past president of TPCAR. He was named Realtor of the Year in 2014. In addition to his real estate leadership roles, he has served as a founding director of Northwest Commercial Bank and as past chairman of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce.

Outside of work, he’s a passionate Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks fan, enjoys cooking, and hosts an occasional Monday night poker game -- something he jokingly credits with helping him read people and think a few steps ahead. He and his wife, Beco, have three grown children and two pups, Lou and Jackie, who keep life busy and fun.
