Hailing from Meadville, PA, Mike's journey in the Roaring Fork Valley began in the bustling restaurant business. “After graduating from college, my Uncle, who owned the Mountain Dragon restaurant in Snowmass Village, presented me with the opportunity to work alongside him,” recalls Mike. Fast forward over two and a half decades, and Mike's entrepreneurial flair shines through his ownership of acclaimed restaurants like Zheng Asian Bistro, GRIND, and the Riviera Supper Club. Not limited to just eateries, Mike's business prowess extends to the hospitality sector and a consulting firm.

As a seasoned commercial real estate broker, Mike's expertise lies in guiding clients through commercial sales, leasing, development, and business growth. After 25 years in the “business of restaurants” and service on several local boards, including the Glenwood Chamber Resort Association and Tourism boards, Mike has a network that can’t be matched. “When you serve thousands of meals and customers a day, you get to know some folks.”

Residing in El Jebel with his wife Liz and children Maddie and George, Mike revels in the valley's bountiful activities. From Crossfit, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, skiing, camping to biking, the Mercatoris family does it all.
