"My husband and I are proud homeowners of our dream home thanks to Milla. Buying a home, let alone your first, is stressful and not for the weary. It is time consuming, emotionally demanding and a game changing financial decision.
We have lived in the city for a decade and have lived in many of its neighborhoods (Hells Kitchen, Tribeca, soho, west village, east village and Brooklyn). Many were exceptional spaces and neighborhoods so we set the bar high. We knew we wanted to buy and scoured Upper Manhattan for over a year. Through that process we saw some great properties but also dealt with some conniving, deceitful and seedy individuals. My husband and I were very proactive buyers - we knew all of the inventory cold, would walk the streets at different times of day and even met the neighbors. We initially dealt with a handful of different brokers, which made me question the value add of brokers and tarnished the joy of the process. Milla was different.
First and foremost, she is trustworthy, honest and intrinsically a good person. She puts the client ahead of her own ambitions and becomes a genuine steadfast partner in the process. Instead of pushing product, she actually listens to your needs/ desires but also provides relevant perspective to the process given her experience and handle on the market. She humanizes the process and makes it fun.
Second, she is realistic, knowledgeable and well networked. Our criteria naturally evolved over time and her guidance was valuable throughout. She listened to us deliberate and weighed in as needed. She helped pair us with responsible and reputable third parties (counsel, inspectors, etc) after getting taken advantage of by others before she was engaged.
Third, she is incredibly responsive and proactive. While we had command of the properties available, she knew them a step deeper and also had a sense for what was potentially available off market. She canvassed the neighborhood to help broker transactions with possible sellers, which is how we ultimately closed on our current property.
Four, Milla is patient. We must have seen well over 100 properties. Enough said.
