Enthusiastic, competitive, and goal-oriented, Missy is a Princeton University graduate, where she majored in sociology and earned a certificate in photography. As captain of Princetonās national championship squash team and a four-time First Team All-American, she brings the same drive, focus, and winning mentality to her real estate practice.
Missy grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, where her interest in real estate began early. She spent several summers working for a real estate investment company, analyzing deals, managing renovations, and creating marketing materials for rental properties.
Before returning to the U.S., Missy spent several years abroad teaching at Chiang Mai University in Thailand and later worked at Landor Associates, a global brand identity and marketing firm headquartered in San Francisco.
For the past two decades, Missy has also served on the board of a privately held real estate company that develops and manages residential and commercial properties in urban neighborhoods. She remains an active squash player at The Olympic Club and has recently embraced pickleball, competing in tournaments across the country.
Missy lives in San Francisco with her husband, Yvo Smit, and their two daughters, who attend San Francisco University High School. In their free time, they enjoy working out together, spending time as a family, and cheering on their daughters in their athletic endeavors. They love making the most of the Bay Areaās outdoor lifestyle and strong sense of community.
