"Monica is professional, knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, smart and so much more. If you are buying or selling real estate, call her. I was so thrilled by my experience. She did way more than I would have expected like helping me find people to get my house ready such as handyman, meeting contractors after the inspection came back with issues and sending me names of local leaf removal guys. She knows the area and important contacts. She helped me sell my home and make things look great with awesome suggestions. She also found my new home which we love. It wasn't even on the market at the time and it wasn't going to be on for long. She helped me understand what was reasonable, how to address home inspection issues and how to work with the sellers. All in all, Monica was amazing and helped me keep calm while managing work, selling and buying houses and supporting three kids at home with distance learning. She's the best!"

"One of things that I appreciated was Monica Dalton was very respectful of my list which contained everything I specifically wanted in a condominium and the three things I could live without if the condominium did not have it. When viewing condominiums she knew my list but was also able to diplomatically point out other factors that I otherwise would not have entertained. For me, that was wonderful as her expertise assisted me in opening my mindset to other locations and other factors which I otherwise had not considered. She always responded in a timely manner via phone, text and email. She thoroughly explained each document as well as making sure I had all information enabling me to make a sound selection/decision regarding the purchase of my condominium. Thank you!"

"Monica helped us find our second home in the near west burbs after we outgrew our one bedroom condo in the South Loop. She is great (and patient). We took well over a year on our hunt - not because Monica didn't find us great homes - but because what we wanted kept shifting. (I would not recommend home shopping when you / your partner are heavily pregnant - you lose your rationality). Through it all, Monica was exceedingly responsive and never got sick of us. We looked at Oak Park, Forest Park, Berwyn, parts of the city and Brookfield. We looked at finished homes, fixer uppers and two flats. Our budget changed by the day. And she kept helping us find places that fit our new vision for the next home. We, like everyone else, are perfectly capable of searching the internet for new listings. Monica's value, however, was in knowing the area. She lives in Oak Park and knows the surrounding suburbs exceptionally well - both from a market standpoint and as a parent. When we (finally) found a house we loved, Monica knew the seller's realtor and lawyer and had a solid working relationship with them from past deals. That made our process easier. They trusted Monica and she knew what we were getting into in negotiating with them. That made our transaction very easy. Even today - many months after we have closed - I still call Monica. We are remodeling our home and she has excellent insight on design (as well as contacts in the local contractor community). Her insight helps us to ensure our new home will be well planned for when we move in. :-) "If we add another bathroom, will we get our money out if we have to sell the place in a few years?" "Should I add a garbage disposal in the kitchen? I don't care about them, but would a future buyer?" She always has great insight to these questions as well. I recommend her to friends who are looking to buy or sell in the area. Choosing a realtor is about choosing someone who gets you and who knows the area well."

"I engaged Monica Dalton after hearing about her great reputation in the community to help me find my first home (and only second home) in 20 years. Needless to say, I was in need of a lot of direction including help sorting out exactly what I wanted at this very emotional & transitional time in my life. There were countless variables for Monica and I to manage and consider. Monica's ability to hold all the pieces and changing variables that came along with my circumstances (including financial parameters, location, my ambivalences, family considerations along with my priorities for what I wanted in a home) exceeded my expectations. At this tumultuous time, Monica remained steady, reliable, consistent and very flexible. Monica offered me every opportunity to be aware of and look at what was on the market. The array of immediate resources she offers including data and technology is quite impressive. Her phone apps alone provided me with on the spot information related to all aspects of the process. Monica routinely went out of her way to show me any type of property available in order for me to gain some clarity and get to feel more sound about my choices. She clearly demonstrated that my happiness, satisfaction and comfort level were the priorities for her over selling me a home! Additionally, Monica's good energy and positive attitude throughout was very helpful and ease what can often be the burdensome aspects of buying a new home. It is also so clear how passionate Monica is about the work she does and the deep sense of responsibility that she feels towards her clients. I know her effort and knowledge (I learned so much and really became educated through knowing Monica who was able to break different elements down for me in a way in which I didn't have to feel overwhelmed.) along side her dedication were paramount in my finding a wonderful home that I not only feel good living in but get to feel confident in the other aspects of my choice. Monica works hard and is committed to covering all the bases. I would not hesitate to refer her to anyone. In fact, I find myself getting excited when I hear of someone I know buying or selling a home because I want them to know Monica and get to have an experience as good as mine."

"After an extensive on-line search, I reached out to Monica because at first I was impressed by her genuine smile. We scheduled a meeting and became instant friends. I immediately knew and felt she would be my agent, and that she would always sincerely look out for my best interests. As a person who is prone to "nerves", especially when considering a major purchase, I embarked on this process with a hefty amount of fear and trepidation. Monica provided the perfect, calming fit I so desperately needed. On a daily basis, she sent listings which met my buying preferences. We then had such fun looking at properties, and she always took time to discuss the pros and cons of each home with me. I never felt pressured to buy; Monica was consistently professional, so very helpful, extremely empathic, and never abrasive, pushy, or condescending. When things got serious, and as we moved toward purchase, Monica walked me through the mysterious process every step of the way. Her expert training in the field resulted in an amazing ability to answer all questions, and if she couldn't, she would get an answer from a fellow professional immediately. Monica went above and beyond her duties on several occasions: contacted my banker with specific questions, helped with moving concerns and logistics, attended the closing, bought pizza for my volunteer movers, and hired a handyman at her expense to go through the house and fix things. She even attended a performance of a musical I was directing! Of great importance, her follow-up has been so impressive. Weeks after closing, she frequently checks in…"how is home ownership", or "do you have any questions or concerns", etc. I know and appreciate that she is still there for me. In fact, she has become a veritable spiritual and personal counselor, in addition to being a treasured friend and confidant. I cannot recommend Monica Dalton highly enough. Future clients will absolutely love working with her."
