Muzghan Yousifi

As an immigrant, you often find yourself obsessed with the idea of "home" - navigating a delicate balance between achieving the dream of owning a house and the yearning to hold onto the roots that made you who you are. Growing up in New Mexico, I thought home was the sun-drenched stucco houses that held my very large and very loud Afghan family. But as time passed and my family dispersed across the country, I've come to realize that home is a feeling you carry with you. Your house may change but your home will always stay with you. 

When I moved to New York, my new house was the quintessential studio but my home was the two cats and family pictures I brought with me. As I admired the brownstone-lined streets of the Upper West Side, buzzed off the energy of Chinatown, and strolled along Soho's cobblestoned streets, the idea of home once again became a fascination as endless as New York's variety. 

Prior to real estate, I spent over a decade working as an Executive Assistant partnering with top executives who taught me to put relationships above all else. Authenticity, communication, and a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals became my fundamentals. I'm proud to say I've maintained those values as part of the Shafer Group, one of the top 200 real estate teams in the country with almost $1B in career transactions to date. 

What each person needs from a home is as unique as what we each bring to it. Whether buying or selling, my priority is always to help you find the right house at the right time so you can always carry the feeling of home with you.
