About Nancy

I grew up in Rye, NY and Greenwich, CT. Graduated from Cushing Academy, Ashburnham, MA, and Wells College, Aurora, NY. After college, I moved to Boston. I worked at Design Research in Cambridge, then the Opera Company of Boston. I married Tom Hamilton in 1966 and moved to Cohasset in 1967 (a carriage house at 460 Jerusalem). We have lived at 363 Jerusalem since November of 1968! We have two daughters Jessica and Tegan. I was a stay-at-home Mom until I felt the girls were launched, so to speak! I did a lot of volunteering, gardening, sailing, tennis, golf, skiing, and mothering.

From 1984 to 1994, I ran my own interior design firm-Nancy Hamilton Interior Design. In 1995, Tom asked me to join Dean and Hamilton as an office manager. I took my Real Estate exam in March of 1997 and came back to the office to find clients waiting to see properties, it's a good thing I passed! By 1998, I was off and running! The market was hot and so was I!

For the past 16 years, I have been in the top 10 Brokers in Cohasset. For quite a number of those years, I was in the top 5 and for at least 5 years number 1! My point is simply I like what I do and I am good at it. The interior design background helps me with the staging and arrangement of a property. My love of gardening helps me with exterior management.

We, Tom and I, give back to the community as well. As patrons and directors of the South Shore Art Center, The Huntington Theatre Co., the BSO, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston, The Cohasset Library Foundation, we help to make a difference.
