Natalie Jiang

Natalie Jiang brings a unique combination of commercial real estate experience and firsthand entrepreneurship to Compass Commercial.

Natalie began her commercial real estate career in 2017 at Cushman & Wakefield as a Research Analyst, covering the Walnut Creek and Solano County industrial and office markets. There, she prepared quarterly market reports and presentations for brokerage teams, building a strong foundation in market analysis, property fundamentals, and commercial real estate strategy. She graduated that same year from San Francisco State University with a degree in Business Management.

Her career took an entrepreneurial turn when her growing baking business began generating more income than her analyst position. Natalie went on to write two macaron cookbooks and raised more than $93,000 through Kickstarter to help launch Always Yours Bakery Cafe, which she opened in Castro Valley in 2021.

Building and operating a brick-and-mortar business gave Natalie a perspective on commercial real estate that few brokers have firsthand. As both a business owner and commercial tenant, she understands that finding the right space goes far beyond square footage and asking rent. Location, buildout requirements, operating costs, lease structure, customer traffic, and the practical realities of running a business all play a role in whether a space truly works.

Natalie has since returned to commercial real estate with a focus on retail and tenant representation, combining her analytical background with the perspective of someone who has actually built and operated a business from the ground up. She has completed all four core CCIM courses and is currently working toward the transaction requirements for the CCIM designation.

Today, Natalie uses that combination of real estate knowledge and operating experience to help business owners navigate site selection and leasing with a practical understanding of what it takes to make a location successful. She particularly enjoys working with entrepreneurs and growing businesses, bringing not only a broker's perspective to the table, but the perspective of a fellow business owner who understands what's at stake.
