"My wife and I are from Chicagoland and had been searching on our own for a second home on St Pete Beach. Upon finding one we liked on Zillow we made an inquiry and were so fortunate that Nick was the agent that responded. My son and I happened to be in St Pete for a work conference the next week and asked Nick if he might show us the home and any others we might be interested in. He actually picked us up at our hotel and took us to 4 different homes that met our parameters and price range ( none were the one! ). Nick then would send me new listings as they popped up and we would discuss them over the phone and when I would find one he would run over and look at it for me and usually give me the reason why I should pass on it. This went on for four months and it is important to note that Nick never put any pressure on us to act immediately and never enticed us with something above our price range. After my wife and I made two more visits with Nick as our agent and chauffeur he found THE ONE! He helped us negotiate a below asking and market price including the furnishings that were originally not part of the listing (we simply liked the decor). Upon completion of the purchase you would think that his great service would end there. It did not. We had trouble with the locks on the front doorway and Nicks father was there an hour later and put a new door handle and locks in at the cost of materials. Because we live in Chicago Nick (upon my request) has collected our mail a few times and even met with a contractor for me on a project at the house. I do not expect Nick to do me these favors forever, however, the fact that he has been so kind to do so is a testament to him as a person. First, through experience - growing up on S.P.B. and living on the beach, he knows the area. Secondly, pricing the house. Our home was unconventional (2/1) with no garage, but had curb appeal and an oasis for a backyard. Nick could have suggested a price comparable to other 2/1's, but he highlighted the curb appeal and the attractiveness of the backyard, while taking into account other home improvements.
