Alexander is a proud sponsor of Trekking For Kids
Alexander is extremely knowledgeable about the New York market having spent a substantial portion of his career advising clients on real estate investments. Prior to real estate, Alex worked for Merrill Lynch where he managed assets for international investors, high-net worth families and trusts. He holds a law degree from Middlesex University and an MBA in finance from the University of Leicester in the U.K., and has resided in New York since 2001.
Alex's personable approach, interpersonal skills, encyclopedic market knowledge, diligent analysis process and innovative marketing strategies make him highly sought-after by buyers and sellers alike. Known as a passionate advocate for his clients' best interests, Alex and his team have successfully guided clients in over $200 million in real estate transactions to date.
Notable transactions include the $34 million purchase of the Fine Arts building in Midtown, a $7.75 million condo on Billionaire's row at a substantial discount off the ask, and the sale of a $5 million condo on Central Park South, which set a record PPSQF in the building. But, if you ask him what his favorite recent achievement was, he is likely to tell you about a transaction in Williamsburg. "Our client was trying to sell a condo that other brokers had valued at $1.1 million, which was not far off the mark given its initial cluttered appearance. However, with a little creative thinking, some TLC, a rented storage unit and some smart cosmetic work, we were able to sell it for $1.5 million in less than four months, a record price for the building."
Alex has created a proprietary valuation model to assist his clients in evaluating real estate transactions, thus enabling them to make more informed decisions. His mantra is: "Every property purchase should be evaluated as if it was an investment." Alex believes that a property should serve the needs of its buyer, but should also serve as a good long-term investment, and harmony should exist between these two sometimes differing client objectives.
In his spare time, Alex is an epicurean who likes to travel, read about the global economy and support his favorite charity Trekking for Kids.
