Byron Anderson

After a twelve-year career selling luxury real estate in Manhattan and Brooklyn, moving to his hometown of Millbrook was a natural fit to take over after the retirement of HW "Zipp" Guernsey III in 2021. 

Byron began his career at Stribling & Associates in Manhattan in 2007 and has been an agent at Compass since 2014, joining as one of their first 50 agents. Today, Compass has nearly 20,000 agents nationwide. He has been a part of their growth since the early days and is proud to be a leader in their expansion into the Millbrook and Hudson Valley areas, where he was raised. Byron has built a reputation based on his superior service, discretion and loyalty to all of his clients. Byron provides the same expertise and professionalism to all of his clients, whether he’s working with a first-time buyer, a seasoned investor, or a 3rd homeowner.

Byron has sold over $1bn in residential real estate throughout his career. Since taking over as team leader of the Hudson Valley team at Compass his team has closed over $500,000,000 making his team the highest producing "luxury team" in the Mid Hudson Valley. He also holds, along with his mother and colleague, Candy Anderson, the distinction of representing both sides of the transaction in the highest ever recorded sale north of Westchester County. 

Byron and his wife, Willy, their sons, Crosby and Duke, and two dogs, Sailor and Moby, moved to Millbrook full-time in the fall of 2019. When he’s not working, you can find Byron spending time with his family, skiing, cycling, surfing in Quogue, or at his family's horse farm in Millbrook, High Cover.

Byron serves on the Board of the Millbrook Business Association.
