Originally from Prospect Park South, Brooklyn, Claire attended a variety of private and public schools in Brooklyn throughout her childhood. She has lived in New York for the majority of her life, save for a five-year period in Charleston, South Carolina, during which time she graduated from the College of Charleston. As a native New Yorker with an appreciation for the South, Claire's clients value her combination of southern warmth and big city savvy. Her family has been a mainstay of the Park Slope restaurant scene for the past thirty years owning the Santa Fe Grill, a Park Slope institution, along with the iconic McFeely's restaurant on Union Street until 1998. Claire currently resides in a 1907 Victorian home in Prospect Park South.
