Hard work pays off. That is how Rebecca Buchanan gets results for her clients, combining her personal experience as a real estate investor with her dedication to excellent customer service. She has a broad understanding of New York City real estate, having experienced various stages of life here over the past 16 years as a college student, as part of a young couple, and now as a mother raising a family in Gramercy. As such she is well in tune to people’s real estate needs through their own life journeys.
Rebecca puts people at ease immediately with her personable and unpretentious manner. That coupled with her honest approach, personal service, eye for detail and persistence in getting results makes her an invaluable partner in the real estate process.
When working with buyers, Rebecca takes the time to learn what is truly important to them and keeps working with them until they find it. When that special home does come along, Rebecca acts on it immediately so her buyers never miss a great opportunity. For sellers, she is just as enthusiastic when marketing, showing, and showcasing the unique features of their home to attract that perfect buyer who shares your passion for your space.
Prior to entering real estate, Rebecca worked for a private software company. As a software engineer, she worked closely with her customers and helped educate them while investigating and resolving their technical issues. Her native instinct to delve deeply into any issue to fully appreciate all of its nuances explains why she is so tenacious in doing the same when it comes to the important life decision of buying or selling a home. She holds a degree in Engineering from the prestigious Cooper Union in New York City.
Rebecca formerly lived in the East Village and currently enjoys life in Gramercy with her husband, their sons and dogs. Some of her favorite things about New York include cooking with ingredients from the Union Square farmer’s market, meeting neighbors at the local dog park and participating in the many children’s activities the city has to offer for her young sons. She is an active contributor to Kiva.org, an online organization that facilitates zero-interest microloans to aspiring entrepreneurs in developing countries. She also plays the violin and piano and loves the outdoors, hiking and spending time with family at their rustic private estate in the Adirondacks.
