    Ian Slater has created a strong network of clients built on a foundation of trust and total satisfaction. Ian’s unequaled understanding of the market, diligent approach, and trustworthiness has helped him to set sales records in multiple condominiums and coops across Manhattan. A graduate of Brown University with a degree in international relations, Ian is conversant in French and Arabic, and specializes in international clientele, often investors.   

    Prior to joining Compass, Ian was the top agent on a Top 10 team at Douglas Elliman, where he was involved in over $500 million of transactions since entering the business in 2013.   

    Philip Scheinfeld’s approach is one of client commitment and tenacity. Philip is a New York City native, and his lifelong knowledge of the city aides him in being able to guide his clients to the neighborhoods that fit best for them. Known for an unequaled drive and unrivaled initiative, Philip will do whatever it takes to get a deal done on behalf of the Slater Team’s clientele. He is a resident and board member of the Jade Condominium at 16 West 19th Street, and a specialist in the building and neighborhood.

    Philip graduated from Pace University in New York City with a degree in Business Management. His ability to connect both buyers and seller through his vast database of high net worth individuals is an added bonus of working with him. Prior to co-founding the Slater Team at Compass, Philip worked at Douglas Elliman for a Top 10 team.    

    The Slater Team’s approach has led to the representation of a discerning clientele including international CEOs, celebrities, royalty, institutional investors, and entrepreneurs.  Their ability to outperform the competition is proven by record-setting sales in buildings such as 420 West 25th Street, 210 Lafayette Street, 111 Fulton Street, and 16 West 19thStreet. The Slater Team believes that it is not always the market that delays a sale, but often inefficient marketing and the lack of an innovative approach.   

    The team is supported by Taylor Nygaard as Director of Operations, creating a seamless yet exclusive experience for clients. Taylor joined the team after a career in finance, where she developed a strong skill set in operations, marketing and client relations.
