Born and raised in the Hamptons, where his family has long been in the real estate business, Justin was instilled with an intrigue for real estate early on. Since becoming a licensed real estate agent, Justin has capitalized on his knowledge and talents to enjoy tremendous success. Driven by an appreciation of art and architecture, Justin completed his first college semester in the south of France, then returned to New York to finish his BA in Fine Arts at Hunter College and earn his Masters at Columbia University. Originally a London-born, award-winning, former BBC radio and television producer/director Venetia took a career break to move to the US and start a family. Before joining Compass Venetia was running a small creative design, manufacturing, and sales business. She says “I adore Brooklyn and can think of nowhere I would rather have a home. Helping others navigate through this beautiful place to realize their goal of owning a property, but more importantly, making a home is what motivates me.” Apart from indulging a passion for ceramics and traveling to her country home upstate Venetia loves walking through Brooklyn’s parks and getting great neighborhood coffee.
Meet Nisat:
Nisat Begum is a Brooklyn native first generation, of Bangladeshi immigrants. Growing up between Park Slope, Clinton Hill and Bedford-Stuyvesant Nisat is a well rounded New Yorker. Begum’s background and experience in marketing and international business from Stony Brook University has informed her pursuit and passions. She’s a lifetime advocate of her community whether it be her long term family business of Playground, performance arts career and now helping her ideal client find their dream home.
Begum comes from a lineage of small businesses. From her parents former hardware and tool rental business and now being one of the co-founders of Playground. Serving coffee, wine and books in the same Clinton Hill brick and mortar. Playground serves as a strong foundation in Begum’s trajectory allowing for cultural knowledge and strategy in her serving her patrons in the last decade.
A scholar of the arts, Nisat Begum is a graduate of dance, instrumental music and theater. Starting young, her time in the arts have allowed her to travel all over the city and beyond. These projects are a conduit to how Nisat is able to anchor herself and be knowledgeable about the city she is from.
