About Oliver
Oliver Dow recently joined Compass, bringing with him a wealth of experience from a diverse career in fashion, entertainment, and the non-profit sector. Although his primary career was in theater, he supplemented his income through real estate investments. Before becoming a licensed sales associate, Oliver bought, sold, renovated, and converted residential, commercial, and vacation properties across New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
Specializing in investment properties and single-family homes, Oliver is passionate about working with first-time buyers. He understands that purchasing a home is often the largest investment an individual will make, and he emphasizes the importance of considering location, amenities, services, and carrying costs. With his personal experience and objective perspective, Oliver is equipped to guide clients through the process, ensuring that their purchase or sale is an exciting and rewarding experience.
Having relocated to Providence 10 years ago after over three decades of living in New York City, Oliver has a unique understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals moving to the area. His deep knowledge of Rhode Island and the south coast of Massachusetts allows him to assist clients in prioritizing their needs, whether they are relocating, investing, purchasing their first home, or seeking a weekend retreat.
On a personal note, Oliver lives with his family on the east side of Providence and owns properties in Rhode Island, New York City, Mattapoisett, and Nantucket. He has a passion for live theater, having worked both on and off-Broadway, and served as the managing director of Rhode Island’s Gamm Theatre, where he led the relocation, design, construction, and capital campaign for the organization’s move to Warwick. In his free time, Oliver enjoys playing ice hockey and tennis, and has a love for all things related to the sea.
