Co-founded by Ellen Dunn and Caroline Harris, Onyx Realty Group is built on a foundation of expertise, dedication, and a passion for helping clients navigate the real estate market with confidence.

A DFW native, Ellen attended Ursuline Academy in Dallas before earning both her undergraduate degree in business and an MBA in finance from the University of North Texas. Before real estate, she gained invaluable experience in mortgage lending, underwriting, and commercial lending. After 17 years dedicated to raising her sons, she pursued her passion for real estate in 2017, quickly establishing a reputation for seamless transactions, high ethical standards, and client-focused service.

Caroline’s journey into real estate began with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from the University of Oklahoma, where she also fulfilled her dream of becoming a collegiate cheerleader. After successfully founding and running a tumbling and cheerleading business in Amarillo, she transitioned into real estate in 2013. Her entrepreneurial drive quickly made her a top producer, and in 2020, after moving to DFW, she co-founded Onyx Realty Group to expand her business in the competitive metroplex market.

Ellen and Caroline’s combined expertise in finance, business, and real estate, paired with their strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, allows Onyx Realty Group to provide personalized, high-touch service tailored to each client’s needs. Supported by a stellar administrative team, they ensure every transaction is smooth and stress-free.

Beyond real estate, Ellen and Caroline are deeply rooted in their families and communities. Ellen is the proud mother of Sam and Thomas, while Caroline and her husband, Vincent Matteson, a custom home builder, raise their two sons, Hank and Sawyer. Their client-first approach, passion for helping others, and commitment to honest, open communication set them apart in a competitive market.
