Orlando Canova

In a city with explosive population growth and many newcomers,“What brought you to Austin?” is a common conversation starter. For Orlando, it was ballet, a not-so-common response. 

An Orange County native, Orlando’s 20 year career in ballet took him to New York City, South Beach, and Chicago before finally making his way here to join Ballet Austin more than 15 years ago. Because professional ballet dancers retire young, they often enjoy not one - but TWO very full careers. When Orlando retired from Ballet Austin, he launched into residential real estate where he combined his love for houses, his knowledge of Austin, his natural problem solving skills, and his gift for building trust with others through hard work and dedication. And, Orlando’s real estate business quickly took root, helping clients who found him through his strong network of friends and family in the Austin arts community. Known and loved for his relentless work ethic and spry demeanor, Orlando’s business quickly took off. His sales more than tripled in his second year of business, and by year three, he was a multi-million dollar producer. 

Orlando prides himself on providing the knowledge and support his clients need to feel confident in their real estate decisions. Orlando is a lifelong real estate advisor and friend to his clients and serves as a devoted Realtor not only during a transaction, but long before and well beyond too. As a professional ballet dancer, it’s no surprise that Orlando excelled in the “pas de deux”, the dance of two people, which requires partners working closely together and trusting each other in order to produce beautiful work, much like in real estate. Today, nothing has changed, Orlando is passionate about working with people, and values the trust his clients have in him in order to create incredible success stories and happy endings. 

Orlando lives in the Austin’s diverse, creative, and cool East Side with husband Morgan Stillman, a current Ballet Austin dancer, their two cats (Katura and Sokka), and husky mix (Toph). When not hustling for his clients, Orlando can be found either back in the dance studio, teaching ballet to dancers of all ages, or at the Long Center, cheering on his husband from the audience. Orlando is a member of the Austin Board of Realtors and the Texas Realtors association.
