"Paul has been an integral part in my girlfriend and I's experience navigating renting - and now buying - in Philadelphia. We first began renting with him in 2020 shortly after the onset of COVID. It was our first time renting together and relocating to a new city, and Paul was accommodating of all our needs as we toured the apartment and navigated social distancing and masking. Afterwards, the three of us talked outside for a while. Once our conversation ended and our trip home began, we immediately agreed that we liked the space and that based on our conversation, we would be lucky to have someone as personable and friendly as Paul as our landlord. He was also extremely warm and welcoming of us bringing our VERY large older German Shepherd with us, which was a breath of fresh air for us. Having both had poor landlord experiences in the past, this was a big selling point for us. Fast forward almost four years later (still in that same apartment), and now we have just purchased our first home in Philadelphia with Paul as our agent. Over those four years, Paul remained that friendly person we first met when we toured our apartment, and was as reliable as one could be when things came up that needed to be addressed within our apartment (including replacing our fridge in less than 24 hours when ours began to die right after we went grocery shopping - thanks again, Paul). It was all of those small moments of consistency that allowed us to be confident that we were in good hands with Paul when looking to purchase our first home. We began looking in July of 2023 with very clear ideas of what we were looking for and a specific area we wanted to buy in. Throughout the process, Paul was patient and educational. We sat down to talk through what we could expect during this process when we first expressed interest, and he provided us with countless educational moments throughout the many houses we toured before closing on our home in February of 2024. He was patient, attentive, responsive, and respectful of us and our wishes throughout the entire process. Never once did he try to pressure us into a decision or provide dishonest thoughts when we asked questions. In the process of finding our beautiful home, we both learned so much about the ins and outs of homeownership and feel much more prepared and confident in being able to transition into being homeowners.
