About Peggy
Peggy Jorgensen serves many towns and cities throughout Connecticut with buyers and sellers using a hands-on, advisory approach that is ethical, empathetic, and highly successful. She's a driven and passionate agent who prioritizes her clients above anything else, and they, in turn, are drawn to her patience, dynamic personality, ambition, and calm spirit. Dedicated to upholding the highest standard of ethics, Peggy has made clients feel at ease with her trusted guidance and expertise for more than 18 years.

As one of six children, Peggy traces her love of real estate to her childhood in Minneapolis with times spent with her mother touring open houses and antiques stores. While she worked as an educator for nearly 40 years in Greenwich and Weston Connecticut, she always knew that she'd one day work in real estate. In fact, Peggy's teaching background is instrumental to who she is as a realtor. Patient, flexible, nimble, creative, and resourceful, she's able to navigate even the most daunting challenges with ease. Peggy relates to people from all walks of life and excels at forging relationships. Her empathy and negotiating skills are the perfect antidote to the stressors of buying and selling, while her perseverance means she will never stop until the deal is done. Above all, Peggy relies on her well-honed teaching skills to ensure buyers and sellers understand every facet of the process and feel empowered to make the best possible decision for their unique circumstances. She also started a decorating business with a college friend many years ago, and she often draws on those skills as she assists both buyers and sellers with transitioning to and from their homes.

Her devotion to her ongoing education — including her Certified Senior Advisor specialist designation (CSA), Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), and Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) — is a testament to her desire to always serve her clients to the best of her abilities. Peggy’s excellence in the industry has also been recognized nationally, as she is a proud RealTrends 2025 awardee.

Originally from Minneapolis, Peggy earned a bachelor's degree in education from Concordia College in Bronxville, New York, and a master's from Fairfield University. Additionally, she completed post-graduate work at Columbia University. She lived in Greenwich and Stamford before settling in bucolic Redding, where she loves the peace of country living within easy reach of bustling cities. In her free time, you'll find Peggy gardening, enjoying time with her many friends, having a blast with her three amazing daughters, playing pickleball, dancing, or spending time with her husband on their boat.

Peggy is also a true believer in giving of her time and talents. She currently serves as Co-President of the Redding Garden Club, Co-President of CT Women of Compass, and a church council member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Ridgefield. There she also serves on the Education Committee and as a lector. Peggy also serves on the Greenwich Board of Realtors Education and Community Service Committees.

During her teaching career, Peggy developed the award-winning Mock Trial program at Weston Middle School and Weston High School. Additionally, she has volunteered with the National Charity League, the Alzheimer’s Board of Directors for Fairfield County, the Westport Museum of History and Culture Board of Directors, Civics First Board of Directors, Area Nine Cable Council, Sacred Heart Greenwich’s Speech and Debate program, the HORD Foundation, and the Westport Women's Club.

Peggy's compassion for others makes her a true humanitarian that you can trust to guide all of your real estate needs; and for those who truly need guidance during this important journey in life.

"Teaming up with Peggy Jorgensen to handle the sales process was a key factor in successfully selling my house during a summer of rising mortgage rates. With the goal of listing the house before August, I had one month to clear out years of family clutter and to prep the house and property. It was a daunting task, but we did it. Peggy’s intern helped me clear out the basement in one afternoon and haul stuff from upstairs to downstairs. Peggy connected me with her crews of painters and landscapers, who all slotted me into their busy schedules. Add to that, Peggy’s passion and flair for interior decorating set the stage. Paring down the furniture to essential pieces made the rooms look and feel even more spacious. Ripping off the curtains neutralized the boomer aesthetic and let in more natural light. Her photographer did a great job capturing the flow of the house and property. The Compass market research software provided timely sales and trend analysis to price the house strategically.
Peggy was a joy to work with throughout the summer. Her professionalism, experience, enthusiasm, hands-on/can-do attitude, and sense of fun made it less like a solo ordeal and more like a team effort. Much appreciation, Peggy, for your hard work and positive outlook."

"Our realtor Peggy Jorgensen, who we highly recommend, is experienced, thoughtful and attentive to every detail.  Peggy provided us with a very professional, state-of-the-art listing plan that beautifully represented our home. From guiding us every step of the way, she worked with us collaboratively in making clear decisions of what needed to be edited from our home and gave staging suggestions, for which she actually supplemented our decorative items with her own. Additionally she hired an Emmy Award winning videographer/photographer to capture the essence of our home, both inside and out. This even included the surrounding neighborhood so the buyers could get a true sense of the area. Together we worked closely every step of the way. This worked especially well for us since we were away during much of the process. We placed our trust in Peggy, who always kept us apprised of everything! Her communication skills are to be commended!  She never skipped a beat! She even had us e-sign documents as we waited to board our plane! That was impressive. Time is of the essence in many transactions and we could always contact her with questions or concerns.

"It can't be said enough - thank you, thank you, thank you. Some published studies state that of the five most stressful things one can experience, a move ranks third highest. While I can't scientifically verify that, I can attest that it takes a definite toll. Fortunately in my move and relocation to this area from California, I was lucky enough to have Peggy Jorgensen represent me.
Your professionalism, experience and knowledge of the market, along with excellent recommendations and insights of the ongoing process were invaluable. You were always available to answer any of my questions, and you took great care to ensure that everything from the initial search down to the last details of closing were accomplished efficiently and in a timely manner. Not only that, you are one of the rare professionals who is also a genuine individual whose interest and support of their client doesn't stop when the deal closes. If I had any regrets it would be that we'd not met sooner and that now that you've helped me find this home we won't be looking at more. That said, you will always be the first and only name I say whenever anyone asks "Who helped you find your home?" and you can tell everyone what I said."

"Peggy Jorgensen was the realtor who helped me sell my townhouse in 2018. She served as the selling agent, and I was her happy client. Let's face it... Real estate transactions for most of us are among the biggest financial decisions we'll ever make. So getting it right is key. And of all the myriad decisions you'll need to make, there's no bigger decision than choosing a realtor. Peggy Jorgensen is that quintessential person you want in your corner. Her talents are many, but the real standouts include her fastidious eye for staging and her generous can-do spirit to make it all happen. As her client, you'd also benefit from Peggy's deep network throughout the CT region, as she is as well-connected as she is a tastemaker. Bottom line...do your due diligence...ask around and consider other realtors, but then choose Peggy Jorgensen."

"Peggy is a pleasure to work with. As first time home-buyers she was able to guide and educate us through the process. She showed us many properties that met our needs and budget, which led us to our dream home! She has valuable connections with local brokers, lawyers, inspectors, contractors, etc which saved us time and money. We highly recommend choosing Peggy to be your realtor!"

"It was a pleasure to work with Peggy Jorgensen to sell my home. Our family has known Peggy for many years through the Weston school system, so we knew going into the sale of our home that along with the highest level of integrity, Peggy would be the person who "gets the job done". Throughout the sale process, Peggy worked tirelessly and was always upbeat and encouraging in a very difficult market. She constantly went above and beyond and her positive energy and enthusiasm for the property never dwindled and was contagious to everyone she came in contact with. Most impressive is that Peggy was always "one step ahead". She knew the market, she understood the buyers, and she was able to make smart, unemotional recommendations during a very emotional process. I wholeheartedly can recommend Peggy to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. She is truly the best of the best"

"Peggy Jorgensen is a phenomenal realtor. She had sold our daughters home in Westport a few years ago. We were quite impressed with her level of professionalism and expertise throughout the process that we decided, without question, to use her services to sell our home in Redding, CT. Peggy is more than a typical realtor. With her vast network of service contractors, it took the stress out of preparing our home to sell. She referred carpenters and painters to freshen up our home. She served as the general contractor to make sure it was to her standards. Then she used her decorating and landscaping talents to stage and landscape our home. We had such a good time shopping with her for plants and accessories for staging which made a stressful process a relaxing and fun one. In the end, it was so beautifully done with the simplest upgrades, that I nearly changed my mind and wanted to stay!
Peggy was also convincing at making us "edit" our home. We donated things I never thought I'd ever let go of. Many hours were spent with her just sitting and sharing the memories of each treasure we had loved over the years. In the end, it felt so good knowing that it was time to move on and give it to someone else to cherish. Her calm nature made it easy to let go. All of the work upfront paid off in the end. We were pleasantly shocked to have an accepted offer, after a bidding war, in 31 days and then closed on the 60th day. We were so happy with her services that we also used her to represent us for our new home that we had built in a '55 and up' development. We thought we had to use the realtor on site but soon discovered it was in our best interest to have her represent us as our buyers agent. We didn't know the difference, but Peggy explained it carefully and clearly so we understood the advantages. It was another great decision because we got so much more for our money by having her negotiate for us. She's sweet, yet a master at negotiating! We are now very happy in our new home. It's hard to believe it's been only a little over a year and we sold our home and built a new one! It's amazing! Having Peggy as our agent made a highly stressful time in our lives, a stress-free time. Peggy Jorgensen is a person who takes your buying and your selling of your home as if it were her own. She was available anytime of day if I had questions or concerns making the entire transaction go as smoothly as possible. “Pure Excellence” are the words for Peggy Jorgensen!"

"We hired Peggy to sell my parent's house in 2016. She was 100% involved with the process from the beginning. She offered helpful suggestions regarding the best way to show the house and concurred with our decisions about various ways to make some structural improvements. Peggy's enthusiasm and professionalism are two of her top qualities. She also thinks quickly on her feet. We would recommend Peggy to anyone looking to sell their house. "
