About Penni
New York City real estate professional Penni Sodi lends a designer eye and international worldview to every home search and sale. She's a consummate people person and an excellent listener with an innate ability to pinpoint each client's unique goals. At the core of everything Penni does is an appreciation for warm, welcoming spaces that bring people together and cultivate joy. Penni began her professional life as a model, which brought her to New York City and took her around the globe. Over the last several years, she has also owned FURNISHme Inc., a retailer specializing in Mid Century Modern furniture, decorative pieces and art. Penni furnished her home with her finds, and the results were published in the September 2019 issue of New York Cottages & Gardens.
Penni's interest in real estate was piqued when she bought her first of two New York City co-ops at just 25 years old. She served on the boards of both buildings, in the West Village and on the Upper West Side, and launched her real estate career specializing in uptown homes. Penni has also resided in Manhasset, where she's owned two properties, including her most recent purchase — a 1955 split ranch she ushered through a complete gut renovation and restoration.
Penni's keen eye for style and design is the through-line in her modeling, furniture and real estate careers. She's worked alongside countless designers and their clients and lent her impactful staging talents to fellow agents as well. Penni excels at conceptualizing spaces and optimizing the look of each property, whether to live in or sell.
When she's not hard at work, Penni enjoys spending free time with her three adult children, visiting galleries and collecting art, listening to music, playing tennis, and most of all, entertaining. She loves the art of setting a beautiful table, cooking a delicious meal and enjoying a glass of wine with a good friend or a new, interesting acquaintance. From her midwestern roots to traveling the world to calling New York City home, Penni's greatest joy has been connecting with people from different backgrounds, upbringings and cultures.
