About Peter

Peter DeCicco is both an expert in and a product of the local real estate market he serves. Born in Maplewood, NJ, raised and schooled in Maplewood and South Orange, and currently living in the South Mountain section of South Orange, he brings tried and true neighborhood knowledge to every client’s transaction.

Peter enjoys working in partnership with his mother, Ellen DeCicco, at Cømpass RE. He and his team specialize in Essex, Morris and Union County real estate, with a focus on South Orange, Maplewood, Millburn, Short Hills and West Orange.

His impressive sales record as a full-time area Realtor since 2008 has earned him recognition as a repeat Circle of Excellence Award winner. In 2025, Peter once again received the highest status of excellence, Platinum for 12 consecutive years, held by only a few hundred agents in the entire state of New Jersey.

Complementing his achievements is a loyal clientele who reward him with repeat and referral business, his greatest measure of success. Peter attended Stevens Institute of Technology with a major in Biomedical Engineering. He also has a creative side and lifelong passion for music. While in college, Peter took a semester off to tour with a band and got signed to Warner Brothers. He toured for several years, sharing the stage with big acts like Lincoln Park, Joan Jett, Fall Out Boy, Busta Rhymes, even Al Gore!

As in music, real estate presents new challenges and relationships every day. Peter draws on his natural problem solving skills and critical thinking to ensure seamless results for his clients. He is a member of the New Jersey Association of Realtors and Garden State Multiple Listing Service. Personally, Peter loves spending free time with his wife, son and daughter. His hobbies include playing guitar, collecting guitar-related gear, and volunteering at the Our Lady of Sorrows Food Pantry in South Orange.
