I’m Phillip Murrell, a Dallas Realtor with Compass and principal of P. Murrell Real Estate Group. For over 15 years, I’ve helped buyers and sellers across Dallas — from Lakewood to Oak Lawn and Oak Cliff to Preston Hollow — make smart real estate decisions. Real estate gets personal pretty quickly. My job isn’t to talk you into a house or push you toward a closing — it’s to help you make the right decision. Sometimes that means negotiating hard, sometimes finding a creative solution and sometimes telling you I think you should walk away. I want you to feel good about the decision long after the paperwork is signed.

For sellers, one of my biggest strengths is figuring out the story your house should be telling — and who needs to hear it. I identify the buyers most likely to connect with the home, then shape the pricing, presentation, photography, copy and marketing to speak directly to them instead of simply putting it online and hoping the right person finds it.

For buyers, my industry relationships and the systems I’ve built help uncover opportunities you may never see online — from homes I hear about before they hit the market to properties that aren’t being actively marketed. The goal is simple: give you more choices than what shows up in a search portal.

I’ve been obsessed with HGTV since kindergarten, so yes, I get genuinely excited about a house with good bones. I’ve also built relationships with contractors, designers and tradespeople who can help turn a home into the version you pictured — or help a seller make the right updates before listing so we’re spending money where it actually matters.

I’m a Baylor business grad, and my work has been recognized by D Magazine as a Best Realtor and Top Producer (2017–2025), Advocate Magazine as a Top Realtor for Lakewood, Oak Cliff and Lake Highlands, Real Producers as a Top Agent, RealTrends America’s Best and Dallas Voice Readers’ Choice Best Realtor.

Outside of real estate, I spent seven years serving on the Board of Directors for Black Tie Dinner and served on the DIFFA Style Council. I’ve also written a bi-monthly column for Katy Trail Weekly.
