"Phoebe is phenomenal to work with. We searched for an apartment in Jackson Heights for a little over 6 months. Fortunately, I found one that I really fell in love with and the process of purchasing a co-op was not as stressful as it could have been because of all her help! For me, it was important for a real estate agent to: Not be pushy: We took our time searching. She did thorough research to provide background to each apartment and building we looked at. She was there with me for almost every showing (personal life events considered/accommodated for). She does not enforce her opinion or tell you what to do, but rather present options with how to proceed, and will compare different properties that have been seen to refine what you are really looking for when purchasing a property. Going to multiple showings can easily be overwhelming. Communication is important: She was always in constant contact with me, checking in, and sending listings as often and as quickly as she came across them. Patient: She knows these things take time, and she never showed any sign that she was exhausted from showing seemingly countless listings. Whenever I felt overwhelmed, she laid out all the facts, pros and cons, to help clarify and compare and contrast all the different listings we went to see, to streamline what would be best for me. We even went through a period where there were no new listings, and she was not in a rush more than the client was. I never felt pressured to make rash decisions; in fact Phoebe loved weighing out the options with me after going to see a listing. Thorough: Phoebe is meticulous, and she thinks of concerns that you, as the purchaser may not have even thought about. Right from the beginning, she outlined the process of buying a coop not only in New York City but specifically Jackson Heights. She will ask the seller's agent questions beforehand depending on what you've discussed that you are looking for in a purchase, as well as those that you may not necessarily have thought of before seeing the listing. She genuinely wants to help her client find what they are looking for. She is quite knowledgeable of all components/processes in purchasing a coop. Connected: Because of her approachability and genuineness in her high quality of work, she brings with her connections and recommendations of good people that you might need in the purchase of your home, such as reliable contractors in case you need work done on the property you are going to purchase, lawyers she has worked with in the past that can guide/help through the closing process, and bank officers from which you could get a loan if you needed it.
