As a Managing Director who has worked with Kirk Rundhaug’s team since 2015, Rachel Melgard brings a long and successful track record of marketing, fundraising, and project management experience to her work with Compass. Highly versatile and adaptable, she has previously worked for a wide range of the country’s leading financial institutions, including UBS and Prudential Securities. In the non-profit sector, she has also served in leadership positions in various capacities throughout the United States and South Africa. Due to her extensive background in art and design, including studies in Integrative Arts from Penn State University and a curatorial internship with the Farnsworth Art Museum, Rachel showcases a sharp eye for detail, positive management style and extensive organizational skills. Known for her calm and steadying demeanor, she is equally attentive and mindful of the little things, especially aesthetic details. She can always be counted on to think outside of the box when solving big challenges, which she views as tools for personal growth and change. In her free time, she enjoys reading British Literature, volunteering for fundraising and research projects tied to Fragile X Syndrome, and mastering the art of making pancakes for her two boys.
