About Rafael

Rafael C. Davis began his career in real estate at just 16 years old in Santa Rosa, California, gaining early, hands-on exposure to the business as an assistant to one of the region’s top-producing agents. Over seven formative years, he worked across a diverse range of properties - from mobile homes to multi-million-dollar estates - building a comprehensive understanding of valuation, marketing, and client service.

He later expanded his expertise on the lending side of the industry with Countrywide Home Loans, where he worked as a loan processor. This experience gave him a granular understanding of underwriting, deal structure, and the financial mechanics that power successful transactions - insight that continues to benefit his clients today.

After relocating to San Francisco, Rafael joined Vanguard Properties as the firm’s “Director of First Impressions.” Serving as the face of the company, he cultivated deep relationships throughout the brokerage community while immersing himself in the city’s social and cultural landscape. His natural ability to connect, paired with meticulous attention to detail, quickly set him apart.

In 2012, during the height of San Francisco’s rental boom, Rafael was recruited as Director of Leasing for a major property management firm. In this role, he represented luxury residences and worked closely with high-net-worth individuals, tech founders, executives, public figures, and international clients. He became known for curating tailored, white-glove leasing experiences that balanced discretion with results.

Today, Rafael brings that same elevated service philosophy to Compass at the Beach Street office, partnering with his longtime friend and trusted collaborator, Camron Paul. The team recently celebrated a milestone $10 million sale in Pacific Heights - a defining moment in Rafael’s evolution into high-end residential sales.

While remaining deeply connected to the luxury leasing market, Rafael now focuses on premier property sales throughout San Francisco. His competitive advantage lies in a rare combination of early industry immersion, lending expertise, an expansive local network, and a relationship-driven approach. Whether advising sellers, buyers, or investors, Rafael delivers strategic guidance and exceptional execution at every stage of the transaction.
