"Rebecca has been a delight to work with on my journey to purchase my first home. She understood my style and priorities right away, regularly sending me great leads, including off-market opportunities. As a first-time home buyer, she educated me quite a bit on the entire process and connected me with a trustworthy loan officer, always making sure I had all the information I needed to make informed decisions. She’s patient and supportive and truly cares about her clients. Rebecca is incredibly attentive, diligent, and accommodating throughout the whole process so I highly recommend her to any buyer or seller. I have already recommended her to my local friends!" - Erin’

About Rebecca
British by birth. Alexandria by choice. Real estate by design.

Rebecca McMaster blends timeless style, sharp strategy, and a human touch to help clients navigate one of life’s most meaningful decisions. Raised just outside London, Rebecca was born in the home her parents built—surrounded by fields, foxes, and a rotating cast of pets. When she first moved to Alexandria, she lived in the historic heart of Old Town. Today, she lives in a mid-century modern gem in Hollin Hills with her husband Ryan, their son George, and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Wellington. They also own a 17th-century cottage in England, full of wonky beams and character, which they’ve lovingly preserved to highlight its history without trying to replicate the past.

With deep roots in real estate—her father was a realtor for over 40 years, her grandfather a developer, and her sister a property marketer—it’s no surprise Rebecca eventually found her calling in the field. Her path began, however, as a professional photographer. For over a decade, she ran her own studio, honing her eye for composition, detail, and storytelling. That same instinct now guides how she prepares homes for sale, stages with purpose, and helps buyers envision what could be.

Rebecca helps clients buy and sell across Alexandria—from charming historic row homes to sleek new builds, from first-time condos to last-time downsizes. She has a particular knack for helping people in transition: D.C. couples making the leap to the suburbs, growing families, or longtime homeowners seeking to simplify without losing their sense of style.

With Rebecca, real estate is never one-size-fits-all. It’s bespoke, honest, and rooted in deep care. She brings a British wit, a calm confidence, and a fierce commitment to every deal—and she’s known for being the kind of agent clients (and other agents) genuinely love to work with.

When she’s not writing offers or hosting open houses, Rebecca is often mid-project: repainting a room, climbing onto the roof to clear moss, or out in the yard with her trusty electric leaf blower trying to conquer the endlessly falling leaves. She’s a passionate (and realistic) gardener who finds quiet satisfaction in clearing a bed of weeds or watching something she grew from seed finally take hold. Mornings always begin with a proper cup of tea—usually made while negotiating breakfast, brushing tiny teeth, and tracking down socks—before heading out for a walk through the neighborhood, pushing George on his balance bike with Wellington trotting alongside, and planning their next family adventure. It’s this same energy—curious, hands-on, and full of care—that she brings to her clients every day.
