About Ricardo
Ricardo grew up on the West Coast in Los Angeles, CA where from an early age he started working in his family's real estate office. By the time he was in junior high school, he became very familiar with managing his family's properties, renting apartments and facilitating all aspects of the rental and sales process.
He left the West Coast to go to Amherst College in Massachusetts where he studied History and Spanish. While at Amherst, his intellectual curiosities led him to help write Javier Corrales' Oxford University Press published book Fixing Democracy. In his last year at Amherst, looking beyond school, he put together his network and interest in finance and tech to build a FinTech app for derivatives trading as a Founding Product Manager.
Driven by his success building products and companies from the ground up, he dove deep into tech startups and co-founded an EdTech and FinTech company called Zalpha with the mission to help retail investors build wealth. He drove Zalpha from just an idea to a venture capital backed company with a team of 25 people and thousands of users. After successfully exiting, he looked back on his formative years working in his family's real estate office and yearned to return to real estate.
Always looking for the next opportunity, he chose to build a new business in New York real estate as an agent. He joined NYC real estate veterans on the Finelli Team at Compass, and has flourished in Manhattan and Brooklyn where he has built a rapidly growing career. Using his skills from previous endeavors, his goal is to create a new standard of trust, efficiency, and value to the New York real estate market.
