Rita Nickels

Experienced, knowledgeable and extraordinarily gracious, Rita Nickels represents buyers and sellers in Pacific Palisades, the Westside and throughout the greater Los Angeles area. She began her real estate career in 1969 and since then has handled countless transactions – from relocation and probate sales to the marketing and sale of luxury homes, multi-family housing, and vacant land, to commercial and income-producing properties.

Rita’s stellar career has included numerous awards and honors for her sales volume and performance. She has served as an office manager, a director for the California Association of Realtors and as area representative to the Los Angeles Board of Realtors.

Rita attended the University of Fribourg in Switzerland and Oxford University in England to study languages and Art History. Her ability to speak English, Spanish, French and Italian, gives her the opportunity to serve an international and local clientele, which is a tremendous advantage to both buyers and sellers in this fast emerging global community. “My client relationships are not only very personal but also rewarding and a wonderful exchange of cultural experiences,” Rita says.

Looking for continued growth as a professional, and due to her international real estate expertise, Rita obtained the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation, opening new horizons and opportunities in the real estate arena. Her global expertise is enhanced by Compass overseas partnerships and its network of key digital real estate destinations in every continent.

“We continue to see increased interest in Southern California real estate from Europe, Asia, Latin America and beyond,” Rita says. “It is vital that we represent this clientele with the same professionalism and products that our local residents have come to know and appreciate.” Rita is an avid networker and an active member of the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations ICREA which offers a strong referral participation from agents across the USA and the world.

Community oriented, Rita has donated of her time and knowledge to serve as a volunteer real estate consultant at WISE & Healthy Aging in Santa Monica, working for the prevention of financial/fiduciary abuse of the elderly.

Pacific Palisades residents since 1965, Rita and her husband Jay have two grown daughters and four grandchildren.
