About Rob
Rob Albertson is the principal agent of the Town Lake Group at Realty Austin | Compass.

Rob has always been equal parts left-brained and right-brained; logical but passionate, with degrees in both Finance and English Literature. This serves him well as a RealtorĀ® since decisions around buying or selling are both practical and emotional ones. He is patient with his clients while remaining proactive with the market - often a financial planner, but more often a therapist. While he is all about market statistics, he also loves the intangibles that truly make a house a home.

Rob began his real estate career in Austin over 20 years ago by investing and building mostly in South Austin's 78704 zip code and earned the distinction as an Austin Energy Green Builder after completing a number of highly rated green homes. In addition to his beloved South Austin, Rob also specializes in Central and East Austin homes and condos.

Today he is solely focused on helping his clients buy and sell their own slices of heaven in Austin but is always happy to hand out a remodeling tip or two along the way. Though not an Austin native, he arrived in 1999 to join Austin's live music scene. But after sweating through a handful of bands, album recordings, and performing around Texas and select parts of the US, he now enjoys spending his time with his wife Catherine, two sons Eliot and Wyatt, daughter Isla, and dogs Murphy and Molly at their home in South Austin.

He still, however, remains an active (albeit, part-time) member of the live music scene and also enjoys playing golf at Muny or running the greenbelts around Austin.

For buyers, he will guide them through the steps of the buying process including explaining financing options, understanding their unique needs and wants, presenting tailored housing options, and negotiating to get the best deal possible.

For sellers, he will work to understand their needs and recommend a unique property marketing plan utilizing his professional network of photographers, stagers, and contractors. He will analyze the market in their neighborhood and in Austin overall to determine a pricing strategy which ensures their home will sell on their desired schedule and for top dollar.

For investors, he will work to determine their wealth-building strategy, identify properties to include in their portfolio, and negotiate to get the best deal possible.

For relocation clients, he assists clients in all aspects of moving to Austin - from helping to determine which areas of the city are ideal for their unique needs, to advising them throughout the buying and moving process.

2022 brought an exciting expansion to his real estate business with the formation of the Town Lake Group with fellow Realty Austin | Compass agent Paco Bertsch.
