"Can't say enough good about Rocky Winston! We are first time home buyers, we had some weird experiences with real estate agents in the past, so we were very skeptical. We went with this group because of good reviews, and they did not disappoint. We told Rocky our fears about agents and unnecessary pressure, our goals for homes, and everythingwe wanted for our first home in a certain budget. Rocky not only showed us homes in our budget, but encouraged us to stay in budget. That has not been our past experience when looking, we have been told we won't find anything so lower expectations or increase budget. Rocky did neither, and he found us the most gorgeous home, in a great neighborhood for a family, within our budget. Then all the issues. We were pre approved only to find they changed the interest rate by 2.5%. Then we had to get a different loan agency. There were things that we wanted to be fixed before moving in. Rocky went above and beyond to be in our corner, bargaining and getting us a great deal. He had the seller put a significant portion towards closing costs and other things, and at closing when the seller left a bunch of junk in the garage Rocky iterally hauled it away in his own car. The seller refused to pay for cleaning despite the contract, Rocky paid for our cleaners out of pocket. He answered every phone call and message (not a few), and if he didn't know he would call around to get the answer for us or give us some options where appropriate. After closing there were a couple issues, not knowing who to talk with we asked Rocky. He could have told us to move on, after all he was not being paid at that point, but he didn't. He still took time to answer us quickly. There are more homes in our future, and we know without a doubt it will be Rocky we ask to help us with that process. "My wife and I had been hesitant for years to buy our first home, because it seemed like such a daunting and complex process. Rocky Winston, and the rest of the Team at Byrne Real Estate made it so simple and smooth, we felt ridiculous for having waited so long. We found a house we wanted to look at, called Byrne, and Rocky met us there to tour within a couple hours. We immediately fell in love with it, and Rocky got the ball rolling right away. He laid out all the steps we needed to take and tasks that needed to be completed in simple terms that we could easily understand. We definitely had some questions along the way that we felt were silly first time home buyer questions, but Rocky never made us feel that way. It didn't matter if we called, text, or emailed, Rocky responded immediately. There were even times that we didn't understand correspondence from other parties involved in the transaction, and Rocky stepped in without being prompted to clear things up. We weren't happy with our original lender, so he set us up with their in house mortgage broker, Vincent, to ensure we got the best deal possible (We did. They were even able to beat the Texas Veteran's Land Board terms). On top of setting us up with an incredible broker, Rocky was constantly negotiating with the seller's agent to make sure we got the best possible deal- they ended up paying all of our closing costs! With zero down on the VA loan, and all the closing costs covered by sellers concessions, we closed with $0 out of pocket. There was never a moment through the entire process that we felt unsure of what we were supposed to do next. VA loans have their own added complexity, but Rocky's knowledge and experience gave us 100% confidence that nothing was being missed. From touring the house, to meeting at the title company to sign the closing documents, Rocky was their every step of the way. Thanks to Rocky and the Byrne Real Estate Team, we now get to raise our 2 year old daughter in a home that is OURS, that we can continue to make memories in for many years to come.
