Roma Barba

Roma was born and raised in Los Angeles and brings a keen understanding of the diverse local markets as well as a long-held love for architecture, gourmet kitchens, and all things equestrian. She is known for her compassionate, hands-on approach and in-depth knowledge of LA’s distinct neighborhoods and regions, from the Valley and West LA to Downtown and the South Bay.
Roma is known amongst her peers and her clients for her integrity and easy-going personality. Having worked in entertainment production at Warner Bros. Studios for a decade, she has a comprehensive knowledge of the art of buying and selling, having dealt with high-level studio executives, producers, production companies, vendors, and artists themselves. With a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management, she’s very sensitive to client satisfaction and excels in problem-solving for any obstacle that arises during a real estate transaction. Her greatest attribute she possesses is the skill of listening.
Roma is a hand-selected member of the Compass Equestrian Division which is a national network of vetted equestrian specialists dedicated to serving clientele in horse communities not only in the South Bay but nationwide. Living in the equestrian community of Portuguese Bend of Rancho Palos Verdes and being a horse owner, she understands the needs of the equestrian buyer or seller, barn needs, management, maintenance, local feed stores, hay deliveries, farriers, vets, trainers, and so much more. There's a lot that goes into an equestrian property, and it's important to entrust an agent who lives the lifestyle and has the depth of knowledge so no detail is overlooked for both the client and the horse(s). When she walks down to the barn and tells her husband, "I'll be right back"...two hours later after talking to 5+ people in the neighborhood - horse talk, real estate, you name it, there's a lot more that goes on down at the barn than just popping in to feed. There's a special connection and bond that the equestrian community shares over the love, enjoyment, and sport of horses.
Roma is married to Oscar Award Winning Visual Effects Supervisor Eric Barba. They have two adult children, Nicolette and Cole. Nicolette is the Skating Director at the Skating Edge Ice Arena and coaches both children and adults, while Cole serves in law enforcement as a Police Officer for the city of Manhattan Beach. When she’s not representing clients, she enjoys spending time with her family, and can usually be found down at her barn with her Mustang, Björn, riding the trails of Palos Verdes with her horse friends, cooking and baking in her kitchen, hosting dinner parties and her monthly Cookbook Club, or working in her garden and tending to her flock of 20 chickens. She’s a huge foodie and can always recommend a place for good grub in and around the various neighborhoods of LA!
