"Trust is key with a good real estate agent and Sam is very trustworthy. He has helped us buy two rental properties. He is very knowledgable of the Austin market and did a lot of the heavy lifting in terms of eyeballing all of the properties we have looked at over the last two years. We are now to a point with Sam where we do not need to look at the homes in order to make an offer because of our relationship and his knowledge of the rental market. He is also connected with sub contractors so he is really helpful post purchase as well. Sam also manages our properties and has done a great job." - Tory
"Sam is AWESOME. He is sincere, very responsive, while at the same time very laid back. I never feel like he is a slick salesman- like some realtors. He is relaxed, takes his time with you, will answer any questions easily and you can trust him. He is very experienced and knowledgeable in the Austin market. Even though the Austin market moves fast, he doesn’t panic or make you feel rushed, all the while he’s “on it”.
He helped me buy my first house and for the reasons above- I called him when I wanted to sell. Everything he advised me on from when to place my house on the market, to price, was right on. We had several offers on my house within 72 hours. He already knows when I am ready to buy again, I will be calling him." - Grace
"I contacted Sam after he was referred to me by a friend who knew him personally. I interviewed him and one other realtor. He has a good balance between sticking to business and being friendly. I had three transactions to make (2 sales and a purchase) that all hit at once. He juggled them artfully, all the while making me feel like I was his only client. He was an excellent intermediary between me and the other parties in the transactions. He also priced my properties perfectly and helped me to identify which repairs were necessary and provided amazing photography that really showcased the properties that I sold. Both of my sales properties had solid offers within 24 hours of being on the market!!!! He also helped me find my dream home and helped me negotiate a good, fair market price. He was there to the end, helping me with a leaseback until my new home closed and even hiring a haul off service at the last minute when I got stuck in a pinch. I would absolutely recommend him to friends and would do business with him again in a heartbeat!" - Bonnie
"I worked with Sam to purchase and lease several investment properties in Round Rock. He knows the area very well and helped me pinpoint neighborhoods, specific properties, and tenants to meet my investment goals. He even found a few deals before they showed up on MLS. Sam is one of the sharpest realtors I've ever worked with and his relaxed style often kept the other party engaged during tough negotiations. Sam has also been there after the sale and helped me and my wife many times when he could have easily said no. Sam is the real deal." - Ryan
"Sam made it possible to list my house and receive an offer during the time that I was already living away from Austin. He is patient, explains and takes one through the process. I always felt like I was his most important client. Thanks Sam"
Since 2005 Sam has assisted a wide array of clients all over Austin, and has personally experienced many sides of the real estate transaction as a buyer, seller and investor. Sam joined forces as a founding member of Juice because of the shared core values in helping people and maintaining client relationships that extend beyond the closing table. In 2019 Juice joined Compass Real Estate to add the technology, marketing and advertising prowess of a $1.5 Billion dollar company to the personal touch and top-shelf service of the boutique brokerage.
Sam came to Austin in 1993 to attend the LBJ School of Public Affairs after spending over two years in Guatemala as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Sam holds a BA in Government from Harvard University.
Sam grew up around real estate working alongside his brothers and sister in South Carolina where his father thought the best way to keep the offspring out of trouble was to have them productively engaged. Sam bought his first investment property in Austin in 1995 and has been an active investor since that time. Sam has been a Realtor/Broker since 2005.
Time outside of work is dedicated to helping his sons (one entering college and one just graduating) begin the process of moving toward their next stages in life as productive members of society. Sam is an avid soccer player and as Captain of his Austin Men's Soccer team he manages to chase the ball around every weekend with some equally avid contemporaries. Community involvement has involved working on volunteer projects in his neighborhood of Hyde Park including the newly renovated Shipe Park and Pool.
In addition to being a principal of Juice Real Estate, Sam is a co-owner of RAM Austin Property Management and has a 8-year history of managing properties for clients. This added professional focus means Sam brings more market-based knowledge regarding the rental market and the dynamics of the investor perspective.
