About Sam
Sam lives in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife Lori and their 3 young boys. Family is the central part of Sam's life as all his immediate relatives are local and reside in the same or neighboring zip codes. Sam's real estate mantra is Live Where Life Happens. It represents a commitment to work with clients who aspire to simplify their lives by choosing walkable neighborhoods or those just a short drive to vibrant city centers where great food, entertainment, and community engagement are readily available. Sam's clientele shares his belief that shorter commutes, and less driving in general, helps to cultivate a happy home where the surrounding community is an extension of the family residence.

In 2015 Sam was the #1 producing agent at his prior firm's Chevy Chase office of 100+ agents, Sam's individual production ranged from $15M to $25M every year each of the last 5 years with that brokerage. In the Fall of 2017, Sam accepted a position as Vice President at Compass, which is now the #1 brokerage by sales volume in the DC market. Compass is leading the way by providing cutting edge technology and services to their agents, buyers and sellers.  Sam's Compass volume regularly averages more than $20M per year.  In 2019, Sam launched The Sam Solovey Group at Compass and brought seasoned agents Stan Watters and Orysia Stanchak on board who each have long and successful track records in real estate.

Sam works with clients at all life stages but especially enjoys first and second time buyers and sellers as well as those down-sizing from the house where they have lived many years. He also carves out time to work with investors who wish to expand their portfolio. Licensed in DC, MD, VA, and DE, Sam serves all facets of the home buying and selling process across the entire DC Metro region as well as the sought after beach towns of Rehoboth and Lewes, Delaware.
