About Sara

Lagom. It’s Swedish for not too much, not too little - just right. And it’s the epitome of Sara Reimblad’s design and real estate philosophy.

Sara grew up in the picturesque lakeside town of Jönköping, Sweden. After completing her studies at Jönköping University, Sara moved to the vibrant Manhattan to continue her studies at Parsons School of Design.

After her second child was born, Sara and her husband Anders sought a simpler life, similar to their European childhoods. It didn’t take long for them to feel at home in Larchmont, with its large expat community, welcoming schools, friendly neighbors, quaint downtown and waterfront living. And even better, it was only a short train ride to the big city.

While raising her three children in Larchmont, Sara nurtured her creativity with interior design consulting. Her “not too much, not too little” Scandinavian sensibility has been greatly sought after. It was only natural then for Sara to add her passion for real estate to her repertoire. For sellers, Sara knows the staging and paint colors to make your home pop; while for buyers, Sara lends her incredible instincts to seeing past the “good bones” and turning them into dream homes.

Sara is meticulous, professional and kind. Her attention to detail and tenacity ensure all transactions are thoughtful and thorough. With three active children in both public and private schools and a variety of sports, she gets the work-life balance. And as both an expat and former NYC resident, she understands the perks and challenges that come with a move to the ‘burbs.

When she's not working hard for her clients or spending time with her family, you will find Sara embodying lagom in her own life: lending her graphic design talent to nonprofits, volunteering in the schools, sailing and playing tennis at the Larchmont Yacht Club, horseback riding in Bedford, NY, gardening in her vegetable victory garden or simply walking through Manor Park with her dog Elvis.
