"Thanks to Sarah's expertise, we have sold 3 different properties in 3 very different markets (single-family home/Fairfax City, 2014; luxury townhome/Merrifield, 2018; and condo/North Arlington, 2022)--one in 8 days, one in 5 days, and one in only ONE day--each for a higher price than we would have imagined (2 of them above list price)! Sarah is NOT your typical realtor! We first met Sarah when needing to sell my mother's home after she passed away. We found Sarah because we noticed that a house around the corner with Sarah's sign out front had gone from "coming soon" to "under contract" in a matter of days without even getting listed! UNLIKE a different realtor we had considered, who urged us to spend $30,000 upgrading my mom's house with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, etc., Sarah convinced us that none of that was needed. She showed us a home one street away where the sellers had done exactly that and went through their pricing history with us, verifying that those upgrades would result in NO higher sales price and was just money down the drain and a lot of time lost. She explained that most buyers want to choose their own upgrades to accommodate their own tastes (duh!). We made only some very minor changes in the basement and sold right away for above asking price! When we needed to sell the Merrifield townhome, we didn't hesitate to call on Sarah. Even though it was built in the mid 1990's and had Corian countertops and the tell-tale 90's brass everywhere, the only change we made (which was obviously needed) was to return the master bathroom from bright blue to its original builder's neutral beige, and it sold in ONE DAY, again for above asking price! Most recently, we sold our Arlington condo with Sarah and got a very fair price in a post-Covid market that was VERY TOUGH for condo sales, worsened by rising interest rates. Sarah does her homework, knows the market, and will quickly get you the best price possible for the least effort.
