About Scott

Scott Hustis has transacted on some of the most prestigious properties in New York City’s luxury market, including those at the Four Seasons at 30 Park Place, 220 Central Park South, 443 Greenwich, The Greenwich Lane, Time Warner, and 150 Charles Street. On par with Scott’s record-setting deals of selling the second most expensive townhouse in Brooklyn history and one of the Top 10 most expensive properties in the U.S. in 2020 is his distinguished clientele of prominent CEOs; finance, tech, and media executives; athletes; and celebrities.

A founding agent of Compass, Scott, along with his partner, Mark Jovanovic, helped build the company from the ground up while growing a top-tier real estate team of specialized experts. He understands that success isn’t a solo endeavor but that support, collaboration, productive tools, and continuous improvement are integral to it. That teamship, bolstered by Scott’s integrity, data-driven mindset, and steady eye on the market, has helped him and his team rank among the Top 75 in the country in sales volume for eight consecutive years and #2 in New York State for one year by The Wall Street Journal’s Real Trends. He has also surpassed $2 billion in real estate sales.

Scott launched his real estate career on the development side and subsequently partnered with renowned developers during his brokerage years, including Alexico Group, Madison Equities, CIM Group, and SL Greene. He worked on multiple notable projects from implementation to fruition, including a ground-up construction at 378 Broome Street. From development to design to sales, Scott undertook an advisory and a hands-on approach while forging strong connections with interior designers, architects, engineers, and construction professionals.

Scott’s robust network and focus on establishing long-term relationships enable him to provide comprehensive concierge service. He is also the resource for successfully negotiating complex transactions while skillfully guiding his clients through the intricacies of New York City real estate. Throughout his 20 years of experience, Scott has been quoted by The Wall Street Journal, New York Post, Financial Times, Variety, and The New York Times.

Scott holds a B.S. in finance and management from Virginia Tech. A New York City resident since 2003, he lives in the West Village with his wife and two children.
