My wife and I had built a custom Drees Home in 2008, and Scott was instrumental in assisting us with this endeavor as we lived in Georgia at the time. My reason for selling was the death of my wife. My instructions to Scott were simple; I had to sell the house and move, and I was going to rely heavily on him to keep things moving so the sale would happen. There were a multitude of problems, the most obvious being my travels outside of the state of Texas. In order to list my home, I had to clear up the title to the property. Scott introduced me to an attorney who completed this process. Scott spent time with me discussing what needed to be done to properly stage the home. This included minor repairs, specific upgrades and paying attention to the many details. The listing price was rather aggressive, but the first showing was the only showing necessary. "Neither of us had lived in a house since childhood or ever lived in Austin, but we decided we wanted to spend our years of retirement in the Texas hill country. Being stuck in New York City until we had a place to move was a huge challenge, but we were fortunate to have a real estate agent who solved every difficulty of the process as smootly as a knife cutting through soft butter. Scott Joffe lined up a series of houses to visit after we selected from pictures. (This all had to be done during a three day visit.) After we made our choice he helped us through the negotiation process until we got agreement on a price within our budget. There were repairs that we wanted done and he got very good contractors to complete the jobs at very reasonable cost.
