"Shakira was an absolute ROCKSTAR as our listing agent! Selling our house was very personal and difficult for us (we had the property in the family for 35+ years) and she had to deal with five very different personalities in the process. About Shakira
Shakira is a self-professed Global Nomad. She was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, raised in State College, PA (home of Penn State University), went to school in New York City, and resided in Madrid, Spain, Baltimore, and the Washington, DC Metropolitan area, before finally moving to Los Angeles. She is definitely one of those people for whom the question, ā€œWhere are you from?ā€ leads to many different answers.

Shakira holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing & International Business from NYU. She speaks Spanish fluently after a 10-year stint in Spain, which allowed her the opportunity to travel extensively throughout Europe. This international upbringing and exposure has provided her with an acute ability to adapt easily to different types of clients, industries, and situations that arise from ever-evolving Real Estate transactions.

Shakira is a trained sales professional and skilled negotiator, which allows her to successfully serve her clients and write winning offers in a very competitive housing market. In her 5-year career as a top producing Group Sales Manager, most recently with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Shakira learned the value of creating and cultivating strong relationships with her clients, while negotiating and closing deals effectively and efficiently. She is diligent, honest, solutions-oriented, quick on her feet, and readily responsive to her clients’ questions and needs.

Shakira moved to Los Angeles in 2018 and is thrilled to now call the City of Angels home. She lives in Echo Park with her husband, a Chef/Entrepreneur from Madrid, Spain and their Border Collie named Dewey.
