Shane McIntosh is a member of the Monica Pauli Group at Compass, one of the highest performing real estate teams in the Bay Area. The team works with buyers and sellers across San Francisco and Marin County.
Shane understands what is valuable, both from a personal and financial perspective. In fact, this is what led him to become a real estate agent — he originally got his license when assessing investment properties. Real estate is a huge purchase and he wanted to be confident that he was knowledgeable enough to choose the right properties without taking on too much risk. His love for finding a good deal eventually led him to leave his job in tech and commit to real estate full time, helping others do what he had already done for himself.
Prior to real estate, Shane worked in tech and management consulting in roles where he was always the most technical person in a room of finance people and the least technical person in a room of engineers. He spent the pandemic years on Zoom's finance and analytics team where he really honed the skill of choosing between many good options and focusing on what is important. Later he was part of the founding team of an AI startup, building tools to make already-strong analysts faster and more thorough. He brings those skills and that same mentality to real estate: use AI to sharpen the work already being done to get clients an edge.
From a personal lens, Shane spent the first 25 years of his life all over the Midwest (Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Chicago) before landing in San Francisco a decade ago. He and his wife live in the NoPa neighborhood of San Francisco with one son and another child on the way. He’s a huge sports fan who counts the Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Golden Gophers, and Lewis Hamilton among his strongest affiliations. In addition, he considers himself an enthusiast for live music, craft beer, fitness, and TV show viewing.
