Shannan McKee

Raised in Prairie Village and a graduate of Shawnee Mission East, I attended the University of Kansas where I met my husband - and best friend - of 30 years. After studying and traveling abroad, our adventures ultimately brought us back home to Prairie Village, the same town where I grew up. It felt like a full-circle moment and the perfect place to put down roots and raise our family, reinforcing just how special the Kansas City community truly is. Today, our home is full and lively with three college-aged kids and two black labs. While we’re technically empty nesters, there always seems to be someone coming or going - a rhythm we truly love. Along the way, my husband and I completely renovated our home down to the studs, giving me firsthand knowledge of the renovation process, from big-picture planning to the countless details that come with transforming a home. I know all too well how chaotic it is to live through a home renovation, especially with kids at home and the added challenge of managing the morning school rush in a house full of contractors. This personal experience allows me to better guide clients who are buying, selling, or considering renovation opportunities. I truly understand the unique challenges they may face. Fourteen years go, I founded the Brookfield McKee Group alongside my mother, Sarah Brookfield. Together we built a business rooted in trust, personal service, strong relationships, and proven results. Following her retirement at the end of 2025, I chose to remain at Compass and join the City + Suburb Group, where I am able to collaborate with an incredible group of agents while continuing to provide highly personalized, attentive service. I love partnering closely with my clients every step of the way, guiding them through their real estate journey with clarity and confidence. Known for seamless collaboration, responsiveness, and deep local insight, I’m proud to offer each client dedicated support backed by years of experience and trusted industry relationships. Outside of real estate, I love a good adventure - from traveling with my family and spending time with friends to pickleball matches and a casual six holes of golf (that’s my limit).
