About Shannon

I grew up right in the heart of Apex and graduated from Apex High School. After graduating from nursing school at ECU, I lived in Greenville for years, but when the opportunity presented itself, we moved back to Apex. I adore the fact that my three children are growing up on the same street in Historic Downtown Apex where I grew up. While things have certainly changed in Apex since my childhood, there is literally nowhere else we’d rather call home.

For 13 years I worked as a Mother/Baby nurse and as much as I loved it, I wanted to be home with my children more. One of the things I loved the most about nursing was building relationships of trust with the families I was caring for. I certainly miss that, but despite the fact that the real estate and healthcare industries are vastly different, at the end of the day, I’m still caring for people. From listening to needs and wants, to protecting equity and investments, it is my job to care for those who trust me to be their agent. A nurse is there to bring comfort and healing in a stressful time, and a Realtor is too. Both are present to normalize the process and work as a professional to eliminate as much stress as possible.

Between school schedules and soccer games you can often find our family at High Rock Lake -our home away from home – or traveling elsewhere as a family. Each year we take our kids somewhere new and it has become a favorite tradition. We love traveling and spending time together. My other hobbies sound like chores to others, but I truly enjoy the process of decluttering and decorating. These are natural strengths for me and a built-in benefit to my clients.

I have always loved everything pertaining to real estate, design, and home décor. Over the years my parents have bought and sold two-dozen homes – fixing them up for resale along the way, so I’ve been familiar with the process for as long as I can remember. I’ve strived to turn every house that has crossed my path into a home – I’m blessed to say it’s a super-power of mine. I can’t imagine helping someone find their next or forever home ever feeling like work rather than a privilege. Each client who offers me their trust can expect amazing service and top-notch care to provide a great experience from start to finish.
