I have used 12 individual Realtors for this transactions-either on the buyer or seller side. Sharon Murray is by far, the best I have ever worked with, hands down. I used her for the sale of my property in Spicewood and the purchase of other lots in Spicewood. I have referred her to dear personal friends, both of whom purchased homes with Sharon's assistance. Sharon is the only Realtor I have ever used that I have recommended to personal friends. Both of these folks are nice but are also very high maintenance. Sharon took excellent care of both of them, found them properties they both love, and both are extremely grateful for her assistance. I had an awful experience with a local Realtor and brokerage before I reached out to Realty Austin and connected with Sharon. In my view, bad Realtors and brokerages are lazy, too busy to personally research and get to know the property and the market. They are too busy to show the property themselves, or hold open houses-they send underlings as placeholders that know even less, can't answer questions, and are not credible. Marketing is seen as an expense, not an investment, so active and creative marketing is not undertaken. They don't show up to closing. They don't assist with inspections, mortgage, title, or other logistics. They sell based on price and are perpetually advocating for endless price reductions. Sharon and Realty Austin for that matter possess none of the above qualities. Sharon researched the property. She invested huge sums and effort in creative marketing with drone video, professional photography, etc. Sharon refused to allow me to drop the price (refreshing) and insisted on holding firm. She priced my property right, and we closed it in a very reasonable market time. She didn't overprice it to get the listing, then dropped it after. The buyer(s) were problematic (we had a couple of them at the alter a few times) and Sharon managed them (and their lesser yet demanding Realtors) superbly. Sharon went above and beyond on open houses, six almost every weekend or another weekend. Sharon assisted with and was present for inspections, title, mortgage, closing. Sharon was completely candid, transparent, forthcoming, and honest. In essence, she was the perfect Realtor. Sharon is awesome, and Realty Austin is lucky to have her. "I engaged Sharon to purchase a home and I grade her performance an A+ and here is why: I relocated back to Austin from working overseas and all 7 of the other family members were crammed into a small 2 bedroom apartment so I was in a big hurry. As I have spent many years working overseas on heavy overtime in developing countries, I also wanted a very nice place to live that I would be proud to call my home. Day 1 - We spent 10 straight hours looking at houses. Day 2 - We spent 8 straight hours looking at houses, then had a strategy conference in her office and selected my first choice to put an offer on a home. Sharon then called the listing agent and advised the particulars of the offer we would be submitting that night. Sharon then wrote the offer and sent it out at 11pm. Day 3 - Counteroffer, counter counteroffer, and acceptance: Signed purchase contract 1:30pm. General and termite inspection arranged for day 4. Day 4 - General and termite inspections performed with attendance by Sharon and I. I was impressed with the inspectors Sharon recommended. Inspection reports received 8pm. I reviewed and communicated my comments on the report and then Sharon reviewed my comments and we came to an agreement on what repairs we would request from the seller. Day 5 - Early morning contract amendment sent to sellers agent to incorporate repairs. Afternoon negotiations and amendment signed in the evening (well ahead of the post-inspection deadline to terminate the contract at buyers option. Remaining days thru close - Same level of support including coordination and attendance with my lender, title company, surveyors, sellers agents, home owners insurance. Post closing: I was stuck in North Austin with furniture movers when Best Buy delivered a TV and Sharon zoomed over to my house and accepted the delivery on my behalf. Sharon also wrote a sublease to my sister-in-law at my new house (which is legit) so that my niece and nephew have the backup they need to establish residency for Lakeway ISD school enrollment. As a customer, I believe that the purchase of a home is a huge investment and worth doing right including doing all the research and homework needed.
