About Shelley
Shelley Cartier is a Texas Real Estate Broker with more than 30 years of experience in real estate and mortgage finance, earning her first real estate license in 1988. 

For 3 decades, Shelley has drawn from her own, real-life, experiences in buying, selling, rehabbing, redesigning, financing, investing, and landlording, to deliver substantive, non-Googleable, advice, well beyond simple transactional tasks and duties, that is worth paying for. 

Shelley is a Life-Long Learner and has sought out courses that have improved her knowledge base in order to increase her value-added services to her clients. She has studied Mediation and Arbitration, Interior Design, Landscape Design, Solar/Photovoltaics, and Green building, to name a few. Additionally, Shelley holds the designation of GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute) from the National Association of Realtors. She also holds the designations of ASP (Accredited Staging Professional) and SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist).

A California native, Shelley came "home" to Texas, where her heritage dates back to the Republic of Texas. Prior to moving to Texas, Shelley was the Broker/Owner of a boutique real estate company and ranked in the top 2% of agents in her San Francisco Bay Area market. In the mortgage industry, she had her own mortgage brokerage, and was a mortgage loan underwriter, wholesale representative, loan processor, and real estate appraiser. 

When not working on behalf of clients to sell with ease or buy the perfect next home or investment property, Shelley has found time to volunteer in several capacities, including: 
-Acting as a Habitat For Humanity Homeowner Liaison. 
-Working with Foundation Communities as a VITA certified tax preparer. 
-Acting as an Affordable Housing Commissioner for the City of Pleasanton, Ca. 
-Organizing a sewing project to create choir dresses for an underserved junior high school choir. 
-Adopting rescue horses and assisting with rescuing and fostering for horses, cats, and dogs. 

Shelley can be found in her “Certified Wildlife Habitat” garden, hiking or walking along Ladybird Lake, racing sailboats or windsurfing on Lake Travis, or dancing East Coast Swing and Argentine Tango at various venues locally, nationally, and internationally.
