Greetings, and welcome to my corner of the real estate world. I’m Stephen Hsu, known as Shu by friends and family, a REALTOR® with Compass based in Tacoma, Washington. I’ve been licensed since 2005 and earned my Managing Broker’s license in 2010. In Washington State, every agent is licensed as a broker, and the next level is Managing Broker, which reflects advanced education and experience in contracts, supervision, and real estate law.

Over the past two decades I’ve closed more than 500 residential transactions totaling over $450 million in career sales volume. I primarily work with sellers across Tacoma, Fircrest, University Place, Lakewood, Gig Harbor, Puyallup, Spanaway, Renton, Kent, Steilacoom, Silverdale, and other communities throughout Pierce, King, Kitsap, and Thurston County, typically in price ranges between $400,000 and $2.5 million.

Having grown up in Tacoma and graduating from Stadium High School, I have a deep connection to this community. I am familiar with older wiring such as knob and tube, rag wire, galvanized plumbing, and issues like Orangeburg sewer lines that can surface during inspections. I help sellers anticipate concerns before they become problems, and I help buyers understand what is truly significant versus what is typical for the age of a home. This practical construction knowledge allows me to approach inspection negotiations with clarity, confidence, and perspective, often saving my clients unnecessary stress and expense.

I hold the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) designations through the National Association of Realtors. I have earned more than 80 verified public reviews across Google, Zillow, Realtor.com, Yelp, Linked-In, and FastExpert. I am fluent in both English and Mandarin and enjoy serving a diverse range of clients throughout the South Puget Sound region.
